SIBENIK In the heart of the adriatic coast , at the mouth of the river Krka , hidden among the channels , there lies the Old Croatian fortress of St. Mihovil. In 11th century houses of a town emerged at the bottom of the fortress . The great Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV made the name of Sibenik famous ever after . That is the begining of the town history and its beauties .
As much as , or even more than any other Croatian town , the people of Sibenik provided their belonging to the West European Christian civilization . Building their great cathedral of St. Jakov for a century , they did not even know that it will become an enternal and indestructible symbol of a town , as it was shown by the recent war history . 

VODICE is one of biggest tourist centers on Middle Adriatic with realization over 50 000 tourist accomodations in Hotels and in private accomodations family pensions, apartments and rooms). It is situated on the sunny coast of the Middle Adriatic, the area of bright sea. At distance of 12 km from here there is the ancient town Sibenik, a little to the north there is the river Krka, and towards south-west range the isles of Kornati archipelago.In the eastern part of the Vodice Gulf there are the hotel complexes Olimpia. Near the hotel there is a sports centre. On the peninsula cowered by a pine wood and spreading in the south-west of the ancient town is situated the hotel Punta.

Sibenik has remained the same as it was, the mouth and the spring of historical values ; the mouth of river Krka with pleny of waterfalls in the National Park which is only 10 km far from the town , a hidden port toward the open sea with ecologically preserved group of more than a hundred of islands - Kornati - another National Park , and a historical source and inspiration to the most prominent Croatian writers , sculptors , architects and musicians .

 A modern tourist harbour has been built in the gulf of Vodice with the capacity of 400 lashings. Near the tourist harbour there is a small sports harbour where you can hire various vessels.
The gulf of Vodice bordered at distance of only one mile by isles Prvic, Tijat and Logoru, and it is very favorable for water sports. Beside the hotel beaches, the blue beach spreading westwards of the town towards the 2km distant fishermen village Tribunj is very attractive, as well.
