Approach: Landmarks: off Sv Nikola church on the hill (51 m) NW of the village; the round red and black tower with a column and gallery surmounted by two black spheres on Bacvica reef; the green column (green light) in the middle of the mole in the harbour. The harbour is approached from SE but small vessels may pass through the narrow passage between the islets of Logorun and Lukovnik, S of the harbour. Care should be taken of the three shoals (2, 2.5 and 6.5 m) W of the harbour and of the shoal E of it |

The Adriatic sea got its name from an ancient port of the same name. The Adriatic spans from the Balkan to the Apennine peninsula. The part belonging to the Republic of Croatia is the east coast which extends all the way from Prevlaka in the south to cape Savudrija in the west, including all islands, islets and cliffs along the coast, and the archipelago of Palagruza(the number of islands, islets and cliffs is more than 1700). |
