Management = organizing

Leading = guiding, supporting, communicating, teaching,,,,,

  1. What is school management?
  2. School management understands organizing, leading, guiding, teaching supporting and development.

 School management considers:

A) Organizing and managing of all educational processes in the school according to the national curriculum through:

  • Yearly school plan and program
  • Global Yearly plan for each subject
  • Micro plan for each subject (monthly or weekly plan and program)
  • Daily preparation for each hour or integrated project (consider few subjects)
  • Projects – project management

BASICS: Program means goals and targets. Plan means goals and targets in the time table, with approaches and methods


B) Human recourses management:

  • Searching (list of potential candidates),
  • Employment (under legal procedures),
  • Indoctrination for school vision, and mission (preparing employee to fit with organization),
  • Permanent education (permanent professional development individual or group),
  • Evaluation of all achievements,
  • Cancellations (if employee is not fit with mission, vision, and goals of school)

BASICS: Leading, guiding, supporting. Interpersonal skills needed: communication, cooperation, motivation, conflict handling, working under pressure, problem solving, leading meeting, etc published in many books


C) Managing resources in the school:

  • Managing space and building (permanent decoration, etc.),
  • Managing equipment (equipping with new furniture and teaching equipment, etc.),
  • Financial management (budgeting, incomes / costs, grants, etc.)

D) Managing legislation:

  • Managing job descriptions
  • Managing internal legislation
  • Managing rules and procedures

E)  Developing changes:

  • Recognizing client needs
  • Developing vision and mission according to the client inside the framework of national standards
  • Developing targets, goals, objectives
  • Developing projects,
  • Leading projects
  • Shearing vision with all stuff 
  • Supporting people to achieve targets and goals
  • Learning
  • Cooperating
  • Evaluating
