| The National
park Kornati is the most densely gathered group of islands in the Mediteranean.
It consists of 101 islands on a surface of 224 km2. With its
wilderness look and feel it attracts nature lovers, yachtsmen and scuba-divers
from around the world. The island coasts facing open sea are steep cliffs
up to 80 meters high, that plunge verticaly into depths of over 100 meters.
On the other hand, the coastline facing the mainland descends mildly into
pleasant shallow bays suitable for anchoring and swimming. Spending several
days exploring the many islands of Kornati National Park can turn into
